We recommend taking a tailor's tape or piece of string and wrapping it around your pup's neck to the comfortable size and fit of a collar then measure in inches. Each listing has a size chart in the description, but you can also check out our handy size chart below for how to pick the best size for your pup.
Bow Tie and Flower Bow Tie Sizing:
All of our bow ties and flower bow ties are designed to fit your dog's existing collar, and you will select based on the width of the collar you will be adding this pop of preppy to style to. See our handy chart below for sizing and all styles are made to affix via elastic webbing and metal snaps for a secure, durable fit.
Whether your pup is romping around the dog park or playing a round of 9 holes at the club, you are bound to get your preppy new duds a little dirty. Have no fear, our styles are made to last and wash up well. We recommend hand washing with a gentle detergent and air drying flat for the best result. You may even consider running a warm iron over the collar to press to prep perfection.
We hand make all items to order giving the most careful attention to quality and detail. Standard orders usually be made and will ship within one to two weeks of the order via USPS Priority 2 to 3 day shipping. Rush shipping option at checkout will ship via FedEx overnight. Please note that monogrammed and custom items can often a bit longer. If your shipping address changes in the timeframe of your order we do not accept responsibility for lost packages but will do our best to work with you in that change. If you have an event or specific date you need your item by please do not hesitate to email me at TheSouthernPup@gmail.com so we can do our best to get you your order in time for your special day.
There is nothing I love more than working together with you to make sure your pup has that perfect, one of a kind piece for your special occasion. In fact it makes my day! I am always happy to customize an item you see already up in the shop, or if you have something fabulous in mind you can email me at TheSouthernPup@gmail.com to source the perfect fabric and style to meet your needs.
Matching Leashes or Harnesses:
We can make a matching 4 or 6 foot leash to match just about any collar your heart desires. Click here to order a matching 4 foot leash and click here for a matching 6 foot leash. Just be sure to make a note at checkout to match the collar or bow tie you ordered. If you would like a harness, that is great too! Click here to see our design, and we can also make almost any collar fabric design as a harness as well.
We do offer custom engraving on the brass or nickel hardware option. The charge is $15 and adds an additional 1 to 2 weeks shipping time on your order. If you would like to add this option, please email me at TheSouthernPup@gmail.com
How and where are items made:
So glad you asked! We hand make all items to order with great pride in detail and craftsmanship. All components are sourced and made in America, and we hand make all styles from our downtown Raleigh, NC studio. We are proud to be always hand made in the South!
Returns and Exchanges:
We hand make to order, so we encourage customers to please measure your pup to ensure the best size is ordered. If you do find that your order arrives and does not fit, we offer exchanges of unworn items on the same style. Please message us within 10 days of receiving your order to initiate the exchange at which time we will send detailed instructions on how to send the collar back. Upon receipt of your original order we will make and mail your new size out within 2 to 3 days. We do charge a $9 fee to ship out the new size and do not accept returns sent without first contacting us to initiate the exchange process.
I have an animal or outdoor conservation charity, how can we work together?:
We work with a different animal rescue or outdoor conservation organization each month to offer 10% of all sales to your organization's great work. Please email me at TheSouthernPup@gmail.com to discuss partnership opportunities, after all, giving back is why we do what we do :-)
